It is a symbol of the central axis joining heaven and earth; the man and his path to spiritual heights, cycle of life, death, rebirth, etc. &lt;br&gt;The oak is considered a sacred tree. The paper makes an analysis of the oak in terms of linguistic culturology, i.e., the tree is considered as a symbol of health, strength, hardness, wisdom and greatness. The linguistic and mythological image of the oak associated with the folk beliefs and customs of the Bulgarians is also analyzed.
