A solution was found out as regards the basic semantic opposition defined as an opposition of singularity/non-singularity. Some lexical and morphological means for expressing this opposition are analysed across the two languages. Drawing a clear-cut distinction among the means for expressing singularity and non-singularity (general and existential) in natural languages should be of importance not only as a theoretical insight into this particular category, but it can also be efficiently applied to the practical studies of the two languages under discussion.</style>
</record></records></xml>
