Zu dieser Untersuchung wurde die Autorin in Anbetracht des extremen Heteronymenreichtums in onomasiologischen Wortkarten des rumänischen Sprachatlasses veranlasst. Sie weist darin nach, dass verschiedene Faktoren bei der Ausbildung bzw. Bewahrung der Heteronymenvielfalt eine Rolle spielen können. Im Aufsatz sind exemplarisch einige Ausdrü- cke mit einer slavischen Etymologie erläutert worden, z. B. pob{írc{\u a} ‘kleines Hanffaserstück’, blán{\u a} ‘Sohle der Schermühle’, lopát{\u a} ‘id.’, pop{íc ‘id.’, suvéic{\u a} ‘Spannholz am Brustbaum des Webstuhls’.

It is determined both by intralinguistic and extralinguistic factors. In the course of migration, a borrowing can be incorporated within the language of adjacent or remote language communities taking on a modified meaning within the same semantic field. This very divergence in meaning, or heterosemy, across language systems is a constant source of misunderstanding. The article examines the semantic deviation of a number of words common to the Balkan languages. The need to explicitly point out cases of partial or complete heterosemy when learning a foreign language, as a means to avoid interference-induced errors in translation and communication is stressed upon. In addition, the article takes the view that when providing the etymology of borrowings it is appropriate to specify the lexical prototype in the source or intermediary language and to trace the semasiological changes undergone.

Language correction is viewed as a consequence of interlanguage contact in cases of bilingualism. Language correction is further considered as an expressive means formed gradually as the borrowed language system adapts to the local dialect, and a dynamic system which undergoes partial transformation under the influence of the local dialect and its inherent tendencies of development. The above changes result in a certain differentiation of correction from the source language system. The local type of language correction however retains an unchanged core and a base, as well as the principles which differentiate it from the local dialect.

On this basis an attempt is made to reveal their etymology, whereby some universal tendencies in the development of the slang lexicon are pointed out. Also pointed out is the major role played by the caricature-parody turn in the evolution of youth slang, which in fact is its active (generative) centre creating ambivalence, enantiosemy, ambiguity, etc. Semantic analysis of the term абе is made, viewed in the sphere of the ‘food-money’ metaphor, and the development of this metaphor in French and in Bulgarian is followed.

The manuscript in question is a valuable source of Old Bulgarian syntax and lexicon: it contains some unknown or not very well-known syntactic structures and lexical expressions. The phonetic and the morphological peculiarities of the manuscript, on their part, evidence the living element in the late 11th c. Russian speech and its role in setting up the language norm of the period. The stability of the standard norm is in some cases determined by the peculiarities of the Old Bulgarian protographs and in other cases by the living Old Russian idiom.

They contain functional-categorial positions which partly reflect in an adequate way the prototype and which are partly replenished with secondary home or foreign formations. For this reason, in the comparison of analogous paradigms in different languages structural and/or semantic deviations are established. Their systematic investigation gives evidence of the development of migration of internationalisms and their timely discovery in foreign language teaching helps the achievement of perfect communication.

The material was extracted from Y. V. Evangelopulos’ dialectological work Лексические особенности новогреческого языка в Западной Македонии (1974). The lexical material in question was expressly defined by Y. V. Careful reading of the material shows that this, in fact, is a Bulgarian dialect.

Early Byelorussian-Church Slavonic bilingualism in the second part of the sixteenth century was complemented by Polish and Latin which gradually pushed aside Byelorussian in the middle of the seventeenth century. After the unification of Byelorussia and Russia Polish and Latin went out of use and the Russian language became dominant in Byelorussia. At the same time a new Standard Byelorussian began to appear on a folk-dialect basis along which it preserved, especially in its lexicon, traces of former interrelationships with the other languages.

The presence of sets of this type of synonyms of different origin conditioned the establishment of a lexico-semantic redundancy in the lexicon of standard Russian. The elimination of this type of redundancy occurred as a result of the reduction or the termination of use of the Old Bulgarian or the Russian members of the synonymic sets.
